The AFT Program is a research group in the Pacific and Yukon Region of the Department of Natural Resources in the Canadian Federal Government. This site provides information on research areas investigated by the AFT Program.

- Background to Finnish Forestry - The Finnish Forest Research Institute is an independent research organization under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. It produces research-based information for decision-makers, forest industries and practical forestry, as well as for the public at large.

- British Columbia Wood Design - Designer and educator Stephen Harrison developed this site as a personal contribution to the debate surrounding the future of our forests and the people and companies that depend on them.

- Canadian Wood Council - a non-profit trade association responsible for the production and distribution of technical information regarding the use of wood products in construction

- The European Forest Institute - is an independent and non-governmental research body, conducting problem-oriented and multi-disciplinary forest research at the European level in order to serve the needs of policy-making and decision-making bodies in Europe.

- The Sustainable Forests Directory - is a project of The Forest Partnership (TFP). TFP is a non-profit, educational organization based in Burlington, VT. Their mission is to help "bridge the gap between the economic needs of the forest products industry, and the ecological concerns of the environmental community."
